Are you Afraid?

Are you afraid of things? Is so, what are they? Afraid of the dark? Of flying? Of drowning? Of the number 13? Of spiders and snakes. What about clowns and belly button lint? Yes those two are fears the people have, though they few and far between.

Perhaps the better question should be, why are you fearful of things? What are you afraid of? I know, it's a basic question but we can easily answer it. It will take some concentrated thought on your part. You will have to sit down and evaluate your fears and phobias. I know that seems like a daunting task, but you still should take the time to do it.

One of the biggest fears people have (and the numbers are growing) is that of social situations. Even as you read this, you are probably home in front of your computer in an anti-social situation. People are afraid of talking on the phone and of meeting new people. And then there is the communication anxiety people have when they get up to speak in front of people.

Next, we'll discuss ways of overcoming some of these fears, that is, if you are up to the challenge.
